The Essence Society
Edition One: A Gathering for Women in Hospitality
The Experience
Women in hospitality spend their careers anticipating what others need, creating meaningful environments, and making every guest feel cared for. The Essence Society was created to reverse those roles.
Edition One invited women from across the hospitality industry to step away from hosting and experience what it felt like to simply be the guest. Every moment, from arrival through the final goodbye, was designed to make them feel welcomed, served, seen, and encouraged.

THE GUEST EXPERIENCE
From the moment they arrived until the moment they returned to their cars.
01 — WELCOMED
Guests were cared for from the moment they entered. Each woman received a personalized basket and journal, a dedicated place to set aside her phone, and a mimosa upon arrival. A live harpist filled the room while coffee orders were taken and delivered directly to each guest—allowing the women who normally serve others to simply settle in and receive.
02 — AROUND THE TABLE
A three course brunch created space for the women to slow down and enjoy one another’s company. Guests later gathered in smaller groups, using thoughtfully written question cards to move beyond traditional networking and into honest conversation, shared experience, and meaningful connection.
03 — THE BIG DREAM
When the women returned to their seats, they were invited to consider one question: What is the dream you are almost too embarrassed to tell anyone about?
Each guest wrote her answer on a card and attached it to a balloon. As the dreams floated above the room, the cards remained visible beneath them—a reminder that the things we are hesitant to name may still be possible.
04 — THE SEND OFF
Hospitality continued beyond the brunch itself. Guests watched pottery being carved live, then selected pottery and flowers from a curated display to take home. When they returned to their cars, each woman found a final goodbye letter waiting for her—one last reminder that thoughtful care does not have to end at the door.
Creative Direction & Production
The Essence Society was designed around one central idea: women who create hospitality for others deserve the opportunity to experience it for themselves.
